Enjoy the world of art and nature!

Earth Day is the perfect time to celebrate our beautiful mother nature called planet earth. So why not adding a splash of color and creativity to the mix? Art and Earth Day go together like fluffy and cute, like artsy and colorful, like... you get the idea.

Art and nature?

Art has a unique way of connecting people to the world around them. Through paintings, sculptures, music, and more, artists can inspire others to take action and make a difference. Whether it's a powerful mural about climate change or a catchy song about recycling, art has the power to spark change.

Plant a tree!

Yes this one is easy! Just plant a tree!

You can do it! You can plant a tree in your backyard, front yard to help with strong weather seasons, and at your nearest park with permission of course.

Join a local organization to plant a tree!

Easy stuff and easy work.

You can join your local Plant a tree non for profit organization, there are many out there and is easy to join. Literally, all you need is to sign up and be ready to work the day of. It could be a once kind of thing or a regular awesomeness.

Depending on location, tools are provided and sometimes you can bring what you have. Defiantly take water and relaxed outdoorsy clothing like jeans or sweatpants, t-shirts and sweaters/hoodies, and sneakers or working boots.

It’s FREE to go!

You will also meet really cool people and make some friends. Take it as a productive weekend or fun day of activities to spend your time and give back to your community and mother nature.

Easy Easy Easy DIY Recycling!

One of the easiest ways to incorporate art into your Earth Day celebrations is through recycling. Instead of tossing those old glass bottles, why not turn them into a DIY bird feeder? Get the whole family involved and see who can come up with the most creative upcycling project.

Turning ideas:

  1. Milk gallon into watering container for plants.
  2. Glass bottles into a bird feeder.
  3. Toothbrush into tech cleaner.
  4. Food glass jars into containers.
  5. Shoe box into gift wrapped clothing storage box.
  6. Old cup into pen and pencil holder.

Host or attend an eco-friendly art show

Why not showcase local artists who use recycled materials in their work? Host an eco-friendly art show in your community to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability. You might just discover a new favorite artist while you're at it!

Spread the word through art

Art is a powerful tool for appreciating art, spreading messages and sparking conversations. Painting beautiful flowers spreads joy and decorates the living room with happiness. Taking a beautiful picture of a one of a kind landscape, feels fulfilling in my desk’s wall.

For messages: Grab some chalk and hit the sidewalks with messages about protecting the planet. You never know who might be inspired to make a change after seeing your colorful creations.

So this Earth Day, don't just plant a tree or pick up litter (although those are great too!). Get creative, think outside the box, and use art to make a difference. Together, we can bring nature appreciation and preservation one masterpiece at a time.
